Good morning men,
I would like to thank all the guys who are getting after it this offseason. Those of you who have dedicated themselves to becoming bigger, faster, and stronger, your efforts are paying off. I have attached the results from our end of the season testing in November and yesterday. I had to adjust the numbers if you did more or less than 3 reps so the predicted 1 rep max would be accurate. The numbers that you see are for 3 rep maxes. The NEXT crew saw an average of 20% increase in their bench and a 25% increase in their squat numbers. In addition to about an increase of 10-15 pounds of bodyweight.
We can not stress enough how important it is to get stronger. I don’t like to look back, but the images of getting pushed around by the likes of Central and Westfield and not being able to tackle Longmeadow and Comp. That is the weightroom. We ALL need to be on board.
A couple of highlights.
Despite not being able to do anything over the winter, Tommy quickly regained his strength and is back to where he was. T-Benj has cracked the 1 rep max of 315 in squat. AJ’s bench increased 30%. Wilbur’s bench increased 42%. Ober’s squat increased 25% and Shea’s increased 31% (and he is over 300 pounds now for bodyweight-good luck moving him!)
